Love of God

“Rise up, my darling! Come away with me, my fair one.”

It is a decision every day that we have to make: to run with God or not.
We make decisions that push us further away from the Lord thinking that it will easy to get back to Him. We soon find out that we have gone so far away that we have forgotten what His voice sounds like. I hate getting to this point. The point of where you realize that you have not been putting the Lord first, but only doing what I have wanted. It is not a fun place to be, but there is Grace. Where would we be without grace...? No where. The grace of God continually amazes me. It is what gives us hope that we can get on track. It is what tells us that it is all going to be alright. It is not a cop-out for the things we want to do. Grace is given but it was not easy to get. It took a man dying for us. We should not take advantage of that.

Song of Solomon is the most romantic book in the Bible. When I read this book, i take it as the Lord saying these beautiful things straight to my face...
“You are beautiful, my darling, beautiful beyond words.”
Song of Solomon 4:1
“My lover is mine, and I am His.”
Song of solomon 3:16
The Lord loves you. He loves your beauty. He thinks everything about you is wonderful. All He wants you to do is for you to come away with him. To love Him. To thirst for Him. The Lords love is ever lasting. It is continual even when we mess up, grace comes in a sweeps us up. Getting back on track is not always easy, but it makes life better.
We can run as far as we want to, but the Lord is always calling us back. He wants us to sit at his table and dine with Him. He never wants us to be without Him. Delight in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
